Suzanne Tremblay is a singer that loves jazz standards and will take you to a tour of this elegant, classy and sometimes sassy repertoire with style and grace. And fun, too.

Superbly backed by prominent and accomplished Quebec jazz musicians, she revisits the jazz standards for the uninitiated and the aficionado as well. When she feels like it, well she might cheekily venture into the pop culture genre for a change- and adding a little blues here and there won’t hurt either, the lady thinks.

Her performance, whether alone with guitarist Daniel Lapierre or backed-up by her whole band, invites you to the varied shades of the repertoire: the glamourous, the funny, the sexy, the sad and - if she is so inclined on the spure of the moment - the downright comical. Love, of course, with its various agonies and victories, always is the main guest.

All of this in one gig! Her first CD Beautiful Love and the upcoming second one So Exciting are proof of this. They appeal to a varied audience and that’s how the lady likes it.
